American Village English Access (AVEA) Teens Camp
The American Village English Access (AVEA) program was the result of a partnership between the local schools and the US State Department, Regional English Language Office in Amman. It was an English immersion outreach summer day-camp for teenagers in rural Jordan. In conjunction with University of Oregon staff, I developed an arts-based curriculum and oversaw the workshop and organization of Peace Corps volunteers while at the camp. This program is still operational since its founding in 2008.
